TATA NANO

Tata Nano, one of the crowd puller breeds of last year is getting its newest 2012 version. Known as the people’s vehicle, Nano, a comparatively very low price scaled car, got noticed even more than some of the luxury giant models. I am sure about Tata to keep the same exterior details in the new version also, including the exotic sporty ventilation air intakes near the rear door. Nano is a standing ovation to the talented Indian Engineers to make sufficient interior cabin space without compromising the targeted measurements. The 2012 Tata Nano exterior may look like that of a hatch, but actually the car is not a hatch. Nano is a four door car, it does not have a fifth door, instead the rear panel is merged together with the shell. The front bonnet too is very amazing with its high end space management engineering, and hence a tiny bonnet. The wheelbase of Tata Nano is just 2230 mm, and the overall length is 3099 mm. The estimated weight of the car is 600 kg. The boot space is 135 litres with seats in position and 500 litres with folded rear seats. The car wheels are of 12 inches.

Interior specifications of 2012 Tata Nano are smartly managed for installing maximum features and convenience gadgets. I could see a three spoke steering wheel in the upper class model, replacing the base one’s two spoke steering wheel. For new 2012 version, Nano got more stylish and integrated speedometer coupled with fuel gauge, odometer and trip. This tacho will display temperature, braking details and battery information. Some higher models have a colored console area with stylish air vents. The front has some storage spaces too for keeping your gadgets. Speedometer set is put in the centre console, but it is comfortable.

The engine of new Tata Nano is a two cylinder, in-line arranged in transverse for better space management. The petrol engine is meant for obtaining higher fuel efficiency rating also. There are four valves with SOHC. Maximum power it can deliver is 35 PS with a torque of 48 Nm. This power is not a poor output because it is delivered from that kind of an engine. Front and rear has separate suspensions. This four seater car may be lagging to pull you through, especially with A/c on. Below rear doors, there are two air holes, which are very stylish in look and do a greater function of cooling the engine.

2012 Tata Nano fuel efficiency is 20 kmpl in city and 28 kmpl in highway. This car made massive awareness about fuel efficiency, measurements and other technical details even in rural people. Simply, I felt that Nano is the best car a mid class family can select without even comparing it to any other rivals.
