Honda brio

Honda has finally stepped in the league of the mass market buyer with the Honda Brio starting at Rs. 3.95 lakhs and going up to Rs. 5.10 Lakhs . Powered by the same 1.2 liter i-VTEC engine as that in the Jazz with Variable Valve timing, however, slightly de-tuned to 88 PS to deliver a better fuel efficiency of 18.4 kilometers to a liter as per Central Motor Vehicle Rules. The front and the rear suspension come with a McPherson Strut and Torsion Beam respectively. The 175/65 section tyres are coupled with alloys on the top-end variant, full wheel covers on the SMT and SMT option versions and silver steel wheels with centre hub caps on the base.

Honda is very eager and cautious to begin its ‘Diesel Engine’ innings in India where the petrol prices and demand for Diesel cars are soaring to new heights. The Diesel Brio is likely to retain the good looking Beige-black interiors and fit-n-finish as on the petrol version. The car is powered by a 1.2-litre i-DTEC engine and is likely to return a very impressive fuel efficiency of 24-25 kmpl (overall).
